My family lives all over the world. 3 countries, 3 states, 6 different locations... and there are a lot of us... 12 kids and 12 adults. Since no two of us are in the same city and since we are so large my parents decided to rent a beach house in Gulf Shores this year so we can all be together.
The first 48 hours and it is GREAT!
Besides one family a few houses down, it is basically a private beach :) It is strange to not be sweating and tromping around in bathing suits. (the kids did start by putting their feet in the water today... we ended up stripping off the jeans and they were all in undies and sweat shirts) But being the off season the streets and the beach are DEAD... you can sit on the porch or sand and literally listen to JUST the waves.
