Being the only one with small children we are ALWAYS up first when we are at the Smits house, Christmas morning was no different. We read the Christmas story as a family and then let the boys open their stockings.
The boys got these head lamps to use in their forts.
5 Years ago the boys (Pat and his brothers and dad) bought Meghan this beautiful Christmas sweater from Walmart as a joke. Pat says it is because she was picky about her gifts and grumpy. Thus the tradition began, you wear it all day (even if you go in public) and choose who receives it the following year. Pat pout had a bad attitude in card game earlier in the week that caused his Dad to pass it on to him this year.

Pat says his mom did follow our request of not buying anymore gifts after she got the boys the swing set, she just already had all of these gifts in her closet that she bought throughout the year :) Needless to say they were WAY overindulged this Christmas. Come on Uncle Bryan and Aunt Lauren we need more Grand babies to help spread the love!
I didn't take any pics from when all the extended family came over for lunch.
WHEW! There are several posts that take me up to our trip to New Orleans to see my side of the family.
